On the following pages, we will give you a brief overview of how to create a Custom Connector in Microsoft Power Automate to retrieve data from the Blink APIs.

Some restrictions apply to Custom Connectors in Power Automate. Therefore, there are a few things to keep in mind when creating a Custom Connector.

Custom Connectors only support one base URL at a time. However, each Blink customer has their own API URL for their Blink system and their own API URLs for the additional services. Therefore, each customer must create their own Custom Connectors and store the customer-specific URL. Furthermore, a custom connector must be created for the Blink Core API and for each service.

Furthermore, the Custom Connectors from Power Automate use the outdated Swagger 2 specification. However, only Swagger 3 or OpenAPI specifications are provided by the Blink APIs. The existing API specifications of the Blink APIs can therefore not be used.
